A study is being undertaken into the demand for the local studies section of Ilford Central Library presumably in order to determine whether the department should be cut in next year’s budget. As you will recall cuts were proposed for this year’s budget, but a campaign to save the department was successful and the local studies department gained a reprieve.

Starting on Monday 5th July 2010 for two weeks anyone interested in saving this department should visit Ilford Central Library on the second floor and complete a questionairre. In the absence of being able to visit the library in person, it is possible to contact the library via telephone and have the questionairre posted or email to you. The library can be contacted on 020 8708 2414 and ask for the Local Studies Department.
